MAESTRADO LAW is a law office in Las Pinas City, Metro Manila, Philippines providing a range of legal services from simple legal documentation to complex enterprise legal solutions.

We are a community-based law office which means our day-to-day clients are mostly people and businesses from our immediate community. Even so, we have clients from other parts of the country and other parts of the world who repeatedly trust us with their legal concerns since we started in 2014.

There's nothing fancy about what we can do as a legal service company. We just do our best, within the bounds of ethics and law, to help our clients.

We are committed to protect and respect your personal data privacy. We comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. We will provide individuals a Personal Information Collection Statement in an appropriate format and manner whenever we collect personal data from them.

Personal Data Collected

We collect the following personal information from you when you electronically submit to us your inquiries or requests:

Use

The collected personal information is utilized solely for documentation and processing purposes within Maestrado Law and is not shared with any outside parties.

Protection Measures

Only authorized Maestrado Law personnel has access to these personal information, the exchange of which will be facilitated through email and hard copy. They will be stored in a database for two years (after inquiries, requests are acted upon) after which physical records shall be disposed of through shredding, while digital files shall be anonymized.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

COMMENTS

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitorā€™s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

MEDIA

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

COOKIES

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Notary Service

FOR DOCUMENTS TO BE SWORN OR ACKNOWLEDGED:

Requirements

  • Original document signed by hand and in ink (in as many copies needed)
  • 2 additional original copies of the document (These will be retained by the Notary Public.)
  • Copy of the signing person's government-issued ID with photo and signature (Signature in the ID must match with the signature on the document)
  • Copy of the Certificate of Title and the most recent Tax Declaration, if the document to be notarized involves a sale, assignment, mortgage or donation of real property

Steps

  1. Go to our law office, submit the requirements to our staff.
  2. Wait for your turn to appear before the Notary Public.
  3. Pay the assessed fee and receive your notarized document.

Note

  • We don't notarize documents signed by persons who are not present at the time of notarization, especially those outside the Philippines.
  • We don't accept digitally signed or documents with printed/photocopy signature.
  • We don't notarize unlawful documents or documents with unlawful contents.
FOR copy certification:

  • Original document
  • Photocopies of the original document, with 2 additional copies (to be retained by the Notary Public)
  • Copy of the presenter's government-issued ID
